A "sore throat" is most usually a symptom of something else...with the obvious exception of a sore throat after screaming at a football game or a sore throat caused by external stimuli such as strong smoke, etc. If you wish to treat the symptom, go to any drug store and buy Chloraseptic...as it will instantly make you feel better. If the sore throat is merely the beginning of what is to come...like a flu, cold, etc.....all you can do is strengthen your immune system.. Zycam is great, and so is Euchanecia with Goldenseal...Zinc absorption is the key. Go buy Zycam (the one that you put .25" into your nostrils. You will feel a whole lot better before you know it.

Also tea tree oil, it's a Godsend.
I use it for when i've got a sore throat & cold. I just put it in a bowl, towel over head & breathe the steam in.
You can also gargle with it (diluted in warm water), it clears not just bacteria but fungal & viral infections too.
Everyone should have a bottle of Tea Tree & a bottle of Lavender - both 100% pure - oil

Cure??? No cure...Can only ease the soreness.

Unless, ya' have contracted strep throat, or another virus
Then ya' will have too see ya' doctor, ASAP!!!

Ya' can try the ole' school, salt and, H2o gargles, cough drops, or any hard candy.
Warm, not hot tea...theres some medicinal brands, (like Celestial Seasonings) at the grocery store, etc.

IF, continues for a min. 3 days, see ya' doctor!!!

As influenza season is hitting, already!!!

gargle with vinegar and salt it doesn't taste very good but it really works.. if you find that your throat shows signs of white blotches than the only remedy for you is a course of antibiotics this is a sign of strep throat which if left untreated can cause scarlet fever

Hopefully it is not streph, no cure, other than antibiotcs, it may go away but it will come back and you will need to see a doctor for an antibiotic.Gargle with warm salt water, don't talk much, aspirin/tylenol and time. Worked for a doctor that swore by warm tea with honey and tylenol.
