I would say more of the opposite. And as far as looks. They say we look like our animals. To a certain extent that is. I've had this cat of mine for 18yrs. now and as weird as it sounds she will leave one piece of dry food in her dish. Has done this since she has been with me. I mean never eats it. Just leave's it there. But here is the funny part. I always leave something i'm eating for later. Like a chocolate bar, small bag of chips. I won't eat the whole thing. And when i shower or bathe she cleans herself more often while on the washroom floor waiting for me to get out. I'm also a runner. Now cats like to run and play anyway. But when i jog or run in the neighbourhood she runs next to me or behind me. The neighbours fine it very amusing. Strange cat i have. lol. But i love her.

I don't know.....last night, my male got on top of the fridge, figured out how to open the container with cider doughnut holes in it, grabbed one....and my husband found him happily munching away on a doughnut on the kitchen floor.
Do I like cider doughnut holes? Sure. But I don't jump on the fridge to get 'em....nor do I eat off the kitchen floor.
So I think humans act like humans (most of the time) and pets act like pets.
