Well...it depends how you see it...a matter of perception you could say. If you have ever, while in the process of consuming a Kit-Kat bar, dissected it slowly by removing the various layers that make it up, you would surely notice that a thin film of chocolate is situated over the wafer part of the biscuit. Therefore it would appear to most people as being a mutation of sorts...but mutation IS too harsh a word so the word HYBRID would be, i think, most appropriate. Indeed.

It's listed on the website as a candy and because a chocolate bar is a candy...I assume that's what it is. Besides, where else do you get Kit Kats? In the aisle or counter with other chocolate bars.

Everybody knows that a kit kat is a wafer biscuit covered in dreamy milk chocolate from the house of nestle.
I like it when one of the fingers is solid chocolate. Some might say this is a mistake. I wonder what others think?

The truth is that they are neither! The so-called chocolate isn't really chocolate but a series of chemicals made by very naughty people. The so-called biscuit is a mixture washed up on Canvey Island beach and collected by ex cockle collectors as the cockles have all gone home. The very naughty people got together with the ex cockle collectors and dreamt up a company called Nestle. That's why I like them.....yummy!

The Kit Kat adverts a few years ago described them as "Wafer thin biscuits, covered in chocolate"

It's a chocolate bar.
If it was a biscuit/cookie, they would put it in the cookie aisle at the grocery store.
