Call the one that you wish to volunteer at and inquire about the rules and regulations, they may require paper work be filled out /back ground checks etc. good luck

Yes of course you can volunteer but the only stumbling block you May have is that when children are involved everybody has to undertake a Police check

you will need to go through a police check to work with anyone who may be vulnerable, which can take months, why not volunteer at a charity shop or something like til you have a police check completed.
