You can drive down the autostrada to Reggio di Calabria, take a ferry boat across the Strait of Messina, and end up in Messina, Sicily. From Naples, the entire trip, including the ferry ride, should take maybe six hours or so.

As you approach Reggio, you will see signs directing you to the ferries (traghetti). Just follow them and you'll find the launch points in town. However, take a map in case you get off the beaten path. Reggio is full of small, narrow streets.
