If "casting blame is a way to dogde the bullets" then why are you casting blame on the Democrats? You specifically signal out one political entity and say they think they have all the answers. The truth is ALL sides are to blame and NONE have all the answers. Politics are what they are, politics. Because someone does not call themselves a Republican, the Republican's automatically think that person is, first, a democrat, and second, and enemy. The same can be said of Democrats. Look at BOTH parties reaction every time there is a viable third party candidate who is stealing some of their press and some of their votes. It is ludicrous to think about this as a Democrat or Republican issue. Your question should say "Why do politicians think they have all the answers?" or even better why do CURRENT politicians think they have all the answers.

As for other opinions...well how much do you value those whose opinion is not the same as yours? How much do you value that opinion when it is someone making a suggestion about how to do your job? Also, how much do you value their opinion when they are being critical of you (constructive or otherwise)?

Your question is not good, especially when one reads your additions.
I do agree though Republicans, Democrats, Other..it does't matter no one seems to have a plan ...just a very rough idea.

Is this question even serious? Your details don't even seem to clarify the question much. What Democrat has EVER proclaimed to have all the answers? Republicans are the only ones who do that, generally. Look at anything that has come out of Bush's mouth since he has been elected; he speaks with such absolute confidence in his perspective, as though it is the ONLY way to view the situation, and if you disagree with him, then you are unpatriotic. How can that not be looked at as a claim to the right answer? What Democrat has ever taken such a rhetorical approach?

Stop reading the newspapers for insight about either Democrats or Republicans--those are just pop journalists trying to sell some papers. They are speaking for the politicians most of the time, misquoting them, leaving things they said out of the article, taking things out of context. So, if you are basing your opinions on what politicians stand for or say, go elsewhere--not a newspaper.

You are right, Democrats only think they have all the answers, when in reality, their answers are based on false information. They use emotions and feeling rather than facts and logic. Most of the things they say are completely false. Here are the real facts:

DeLay didn't leak Valerie Plames name it was Armatage

Bush's tax cuts raised tax revenue to all time record levels

Bush's IQ is higher than Kerry's

Mars also has global warming

Chavez is not funny for calling Bush the Devil when you consider he gave $1,000,000 to Al Qaeda after 9-11 and called for the destruction of the U.S.

The rich got more of a tax refund because they pay 98% of all taxes and they still pay a higher percentage

Oil prices are determined by the open market and supply and demand

Your question has no basis in facts. Democrats have never claimed to have all the answers. Democrats do point out that change is needed. Republicans think things are fine and nothing needs change. Example, the $9 trillion national debt ran up by Republicans, the fact that Government is bigger not smaller under Republicans, the fact that Government has never been more intrusive than now under Republicans in History. We also have a $38 billion trade deficit and we have lost more jobs to other countries in the past 6 years under Republicans than at any other time in History. You can not change the facts. You are welcome to your opinions. What do your opinions have to do with facts?

I've known some pretty ignorant, close-minded Republicans/Conservatives - the kind of people that make you cringe, because they are so clueless -- they follow some dogma, without understanding the principles or tenets behind it, or without an understanding as to why they follow that dogma. That being said, although I know a few open-minded Democrats/Liberals, many of those I've met have been the most boorish, close-minded, self-righteous people I've ever met. "We support your right to think, believe, and say whatever you want...as long as you agree with us! If you don't believe what we believe, you must be a fascist!"

Same reason Republicans, Libertarians, Greens and others think they have all the answers. It's easier not to think - just to spout what someone you think is in authority tells you to.

The real trick is to listen to all of them, take the best ideas no matter who they come from, and put them into practice. Of course, this requires that you actually think for yourself and employ some of the critical reasoning you were taught in school were you paying attention when it was taught.

So much for being snarky.

Listen. Analyze. Think for yourself. Decide. Act.

Democrats usually like to whine about what Republicans are doing, without giving any sort of counter-proposal on the way to handle a situation. They'll also talk big about how they're not like Republicans during election time, yet offer no basis as to what to expect from their candidates. Helps to explain why they've lost major elections for the past 8 years.

Other opinions? Anybody who questions the Dems is obviously some lying fascist neocon racist warmongering rich pawn puppet Big-oil halliburton evil redneck homophobe Nazi right winger who's too stupid to understand the enlightened liberal truth.

At least, that's what they call me every day on here.

Gee, I hadn't noticed. I was too overwhelmed by all the Republicans who think they have all the answers and don't listen to other opinions.

Don't you mean republicans? They are the ones willing to following a failing policy to its ultimate conclusion.
