It varies with age. children and teenagers need more sleep... like 8 to 10 hours.... infants even more.

Adults need 6 to 8. I know some adults that can function at 100% on as little as 4 hours consistently. It depends on you... are you healthy? Do you exercise regularly? Are you stressed all the time? many factors play a part. If you seem to be tired all the time and think you need more sleep, try it but if more sleep doesn't do the job then see a doctor.

every one is different
me i need 6 hours max ,sometimes i wake up after 5 hours
some people say they need 8- 10 hours a night but i see this as to much sleep

When you start waking up still tired after sleeping longer than usual.

more than 8 hours, a recent study said 7 hours is normal for an adult.

but it depends on you. (you know you've got too much when you oversleep and wake up with a headache)

.....sleep is a blessing........too much .......if you sleep 16 hrs a day......................
