This is the way human beings are. If they find a certain thing disgusting or difficult to understand, then that thing must be 'wrong' or 'sinful' or whatever word you want to apply. People ALSO instinctively are repulsed by corpses. This is because during primitive times, corpses would decay and being near them caused disease. Tribes therefore got rid of bodies quickly and made them a thing to be avoided.
