I would like to surprise my fiance for his b day next year and fly our families out to Vegas and get married, but I don't even know where to begin. Also, I'd like to pay for room and/or flight for our immediate family. It's about 13 people. If anyone has any info or any travel agents out there.... help please!!

p.s. we were going to get married next year but he is very impatient and wants to get married now, so the suprise is I'm pushing up the date several months and having our family go. He didn't want a big wedding and he loves poker and gambling so I think I'm doing him a HUGE favor!!

I'm getting married in Vegas in January at the Paris Hotel. They have many wedding packages that include everything. They also give your guests a 10% discount at any of the Harrah's properties..check around, because pretty much all the hotels have wedding packages. As far as accomodating guests, try the travel sites www.orbitz.com, and southwest.com. You can also call hotels to find out if you can get a group rate on rooms. Good luck !!

I think flying everyone out there is a bit extreme. I mean each flight would be an average of $250 roundtrip depending where you live. It's VERY generous of you, but youDON'T need to do all that. I got married four years ago at Monte Carlo. The chapel is very nice and the packages range fro about $400-$2000. All the hotels have chapels and they ALL have similar packages. I had 25 people show for my wedding. Idid not "invite" them. Itold them we were going to Vegas and if they wanted to join us great. I DID take everyone to dinner afterwards.
Just a side not. for a cute wedding favor, I brought with me white thank you cards. In the card I put a $1 silver chip form the casino in the Monte Carlo. I wrote in there that were lucky to have them a part of our big day, and we were passing that luck on to them. Everyone but my parents spent the chip. I think someone won like $10 or something. Everyone appreciated the favor though.

By suprise your fiance I am hoping you mean you have already discussed a Vegas wedding and he liked the idea. I am hoping the suprise is flying out your families.

is a great site to find good deals on flight and hotels. Remember the further in advance you book your flights and hotels the better deal you can get.

Here are some sites to give you some ideas of Las Vegas Weddings.

I hate to tell you this but it will be extremely hard to make this surprise work. You will need to tell the family you plan on inviting so they can plan to take time off.

Your best bet if you want to have someone out there taking care of things for you is to hire a wedding planner. Some places that perform weddings have one on site to help you.

That is a site with marriage license reguirements.

I hope this helps. Congratulations and best wishes for many happy years together!!!

I can't recall where exactly, but some travel sites do list Vegas wedding packages. Perhaps even check lasvegas.com to determine what the actual requirements are for getting married out there. I have a friend getting married there this weekend. One thing though, is you fiance going to be cool with this? I'm assuming the both of you have discussed what type of wedding you both want before deciding to do this?

Check with the Stratosphere, they have a wide variety of options. Now, be careful of surprises like that, who would be more surprised if he for some reason got to Vegas and when you went to get the marriage license (he does have to be there for that) and said he was not quite ready or did not want to do it that way? You need to be real sure before you do something like that...Good Luck...Oh, I am getting married in Vegas in two weeks...

Before I scrapped the Vegas wedding idea.

I thought that getting married in the Venetian overlooking the Gondolas (in the their shopping mall section) was pretty cool. I saw a wedding there and it was awesome.

a lot of places you can go to are on the net. they have great prices. i think vegas.com is a good site. but i think paying for the flight is a bit too much. unless you can get that american airlines deal of one way 3 weeks in advanced for $49 each. but first make sure he wants to get married because if he doesnt then you just spent all that money and headaches.
