Because "we" aren't the Iraqi people. It's possible to imagine that Hussein could have been overthrown by the Iraqi people without the need of foreign intervention.

That said, while popular revolutions for democratic liberty happen--and they're amazing and inspiring when they occur--they're also dangerous for those involved and rare.

I'm not sure a coup is ever amazing. And it wasn't the Thai people, it the Thai military.

However, have you forgotten the Kurds did try to overthrow Saddam and were gassed with chemical weapons? That wasn't the only time Iraqis tried to overthrow Saddam. They tried. They never succeeded. They died.

The Thai army took over their own government. Iraq had people loyal to Saddam

Oh hichefhei..., it seems you are new to the subject! Aren't you aware that USA-led invasion of Iraq had already overthrown a legitimate government there? Now, why do you want the present government, installed by America, to be overthrown and by whom?
