Amnesty's an idea that's been forwarded, but it also amounts to acceptance of a would-be 'fait accompli' and on principle it needs to be refused. Mexico in particular has been 'gaming' our immigration system literally for decades, and our bone-head liberal 'representatives' have just kind of sat there, and signed off on MORE spending to cover it all, and not being very forthright
or clear on the impact.

But, now that hospitals are closing, jails are filling, and neighborhoods are going downhill, it's maybe time to really talk about the issue in earnest, and work directly with countries like Mexico to end illegal immigration.

And, some people need to move home. And, if they don't follow the laws, then the ICE needs to be called out. But, none of it will really manifest itself until the borders are taken care of.

Illegal immigration is just that, illegal, against the law. But, laws with no enforcement tend just to be casual suggestions...and the majority across the country has largely spoken out against illegal immigration, and there's a lot of interest in seeing the practice ended.

I don't think it would be a good idea to delete the border. We are still two different countries, but ALOT of hispanics have been living in this country since they were children. Now grown and have familys of there own, work the jobs too many American citizens are too lazy to do!! They also pay taxes, i know because some of my family is from Mexico. Mexicans are not terrorits. They didn't blow up parts of our country, we are not at war with them. If it's ok for the white man to take the indians land and inslave the african americans and still land from Mexico then why can't others have a chance at freedom, jobs and a good place to raise there children. Don't judge unless you know all the facts!!

I support LEGAL immigration... but there are already ways of obtaining that. LEGAL immigration begins in their own country.

We don't just REWARD those that have broken the law by granting them citizenship. If that happend the problem would only worsen.

We need to know WHO is in this country and why. Middle Easterns can blend in very easily with Hispanics.

Just making them LEGAL ignores the problem. Making them LEGAL is not the way to go.

a. If illegals want to become legal, fine- they just should be forced to pay taxes and shouldn't be able to immediately start using public aid. (Using public aid IS what many of them are doing now.)
b. You can't "delete the border"- our economy would collapse after people would take American money but not give back by paying taxes.

WAIT.
A functional system to allow legalization exists! Jo, it is just that it doesn't let anyone in! No amnesty as they are ILLEGAL-- a bunch of bull. That is what amnesty is for.. to get some votes for the party that grants it. No room in the US? Look around, there are more jobs than people willing to work! It is because of BRAINWASHING. A very helpful instrument. It does work. Censor information, keep Americans ill educated and you have a bunch of sheep who stand against illegal immigration because standing against the real problems takes too much guts.
AMNESTY NOW!

Ahh No. And I do mind them. I mind them being a burden on our economy. It's getting to a point where an American citizen who needs help through a rough time can't get the help they need because all the dollars are going to help the illegals who pay no taxes in this country.

I understand their plight, they need to have a good old fashioned civil war in their own country and fix the problems they have, not run from their problems.

If illegals cared about doing things the right way they wouldn't be in this situation. They break the law and you expect Americans to be the ones to make the adjustment. Wrong...if they want to be Americans or even legal, they will be the ones to make the adjustments or they will be found and deported.

Delete the border? I suspect Mexico wants to keep its sovereignty and so does USA, in the same way could you 'delete' the border with Canada, both countries have their own government outside of the USA.

USA could have a freer immigration policy with mexico, that would be more feasible

> Why don't you support the LEGALIZATION of illegals?

I do. After they serve their terms for violating the law in the first place, and after they meet their 10-year ban required by law, they can get in line, and immigrate legally, like normal people do. It is fine with me.
