There's no "final battle" as you describe. This rubbish is based upon a misunderstanding of the Book of Revelation which is written in symbolic language.
I'm a Christian, by the way!

The question whether satan knows whether he will lose or not is irrelevant, he knows it will be his final deception.
It is written that after the second coming of christ that the rightious dead and living will meet the Lord in the sky, satan will be bound a thousand years here on earth without a soul to deceive. After the thousand years are complete the Lord together with the rightous will decend upon the earth, then the second resurrection of the wicked. Satan will deceive these people (the wicked) to battle against the rightious, his only hope, before the white throne judgement and before his is utterly distroyed.
Please note that there will not be a war, the Lord will forever destroy Satan and his followers with the glory of his coming. Obviously there are some who doen't believe this, and that is just part of the greatest deception ever.
May the love of the Lord Jesus Christ guide you to rightiousness

Some people think that Satan believes that he can really win.
I think that Satan hates people so much (because we are made in God's image, and he can't do anything to God) that he wants to keep as many people as possible from being with God, so he turns us from God with every trick he can come up with.

There won't be a battle. The forces of good and evil will be assembled, "but for the elects (believers) sake these days will be shortned." ........As an atheist God will give you one last chance to enter HIS kingdom. I pray I will see you there in eternity.

Satan believes he will win. This final battle, armeggedon, will be fought and yes, Satan will lose. He believes he will win, he believes he can change God's will, which is one of the reasons he's doomed to fail.

Satan is a very powerful, intelligent spirit creature. However, he's insane.

I've pondered on such a thing myself. Why do evil beings
do what they do? What do they get out of it?
My conclusion. They don't get anything out of it. They do it out
of spite! Because they don't want to see you get anything out
of it.
