i dont think that all American soliers are animals or even far worse. A lot of soldiers are doing their job over there. Yes what these sick fuks did kinda messes it up for americas image but people are raped, killed, tortured everywhere. it's not just americas military. theres no excuse for what any of these people did by any means but i just want to tell you its not all of the american militaries. now president bush, animal. but lets hope the guys on the last 2 articles get the death penalty.

As an ex paratrooper I must say that is an ignorant statement, I can bet that you never spent a day around the military, so you wouldn't know what goes on in Iraq and Afghanistan. But you do, you watch CNN, well there are couple websites that will show you the pictures CNN will not show, like Iraqi men, women and children hugging, kissing, crying, and thanking the Americans for what they have done, same thing in Afghanistan. How about a picture of a soldier giving adults and children medicine that they can't afford for free. CNN and Fox to an extent focus on what is called Yellow Journalism. Next time you want make a statement like that I suggest you research and not watch T.V. As for the Marines who shot all those people, think what you would do if a man showed with no face pointed a gun at your friends and killed them, because I will tell you there is no worse feeling in the world then having your hand drenched in a dying man's blood, and listening to his wanting to go. So I want you to think about that, how would you feel if you were holding your friend's head up and his/her blood running down your arm, and watching her die. Tell me you wouldn't want justice, revenge is justice, because over there you're fighting shadows. Yes, they went too far. Been there done that.

The first source is a 94-page report.
The second source is about a torture chamber.
The third source is information about torture, rape & murder before the war.
The fourth source is about torture, rape, and murder in camps before the war.
I'm more than confident I could find a thousand more sources. Let he without sin cast the first stone. I don't care what country it is, the few bad cases aren't justification for a stereotype. There are plenty of American soldiers who are over there doing the very best they can to not only insure our own freedom, but to try to teach freedom to a people who have been denied there full potential for so long.
Let me quote John Burns from the New York Times,
"And yet the Abu Ghraib incidents are not representative of what the U.S. armed forces in Iraq do — building schools, repairing sewage lines, helping Iraqi victims of suicide bombings — and Americans have every reason to be deeply proud of their armed forces in Iraq."
Now, take this next quote, replace American Troops with Shiite Muslims, or whatever group you are defending and tell me that it is true. If so, then start supporting it and let people know how and why it is true, rather than participating in a vicious circle of slander.
"Now, whilst that was going on I have no doubt that there were thousands of American troops doing things of direct and immediate benefit to the Iraqi people."
God Bless Everyone.

First of all, we ALL have freedoms because of those very military men and women that you find it so easy to bash. Therefore, if you don't want replies that disagree with you, don't post the question.
Second, a couple bad military members doesn't mean they're all bad. IF they have committed a crime, they will be punished in a very proper way. Perhaps you forgot about the images of the beheaded person on the news?? Did you forget how they treated that maintenance company that was captured?? It's a war and war isn't pretty.
Now, since I'm married to a soldier that's been over 3 times, I can tell you what we've done. We've freed the Iraqi people from a sadistic leader. We've given them school for education. We've given them electricity. We've given them a means to stand on their own. The Iraqi people love the American soldiers. We've done more for them than you'll ever know. You'll surely never see it on the news or in the papers. Instead of criticizing our military, why don't you talk to them?? Why don't you find out what it's really like??
People like you make me sick. My husband and our friends protect your right to be an idiot. You should be thanking them instead of bashing them. You don't like our military, then leave because we don't need to defend ourselves to someone like you.

you want four good things?
1. The people of Iraq are now free.
2. We have built Schools.
3. We have built Hospitals. -- (Which have saved countless people)
4. The people of Iraq get to vote.
5. Stopped sadamm insane from commiting mass genocide.
It's very easy for people to sit back, hear what they want in the news and then get on the internet and slam the american soldiers with out ever having to put anything at all on the line. You have no idea at all what a soldier goes through. I'm not saying what they did was right or acceptable, but also notice that at least 2 of these articles are about the sentencing of these people. meaning that they are being punished for what they have done. Go spend a day downrange getting shot at and then come back and tell me that american soldiers are animals. you don't have a f-ing clue. your ignorant to what really goes on. but you know what, it doesn't even matter because these "worse than animals" will continue to fight and put everything on the line every single day just to ensure your freedom to say dumb sh*t then condem them for it.

War is about killing, destroying, annihilating, in the words of William Tecumseh Sherman "War is all Hell". You may want to sit around the campfire and sing songs, but if someone took away your latte your feelings would be hurt and you would be greatly offended. But if someone took away your freedom to ask such offensive questions then what would you do? There have been people like you in America since its beginning, you will never say thank you to those who give there lives so that you can be foolish, you will only call them derogatory names in order to dehumanize them. Are you happy when Americans die?

Women comprise 25% of the Iraqi Parliament, which is the highest proportion in the Arab world and one of the largest percentages worldwide.
The USG has rehabilitated 32% of Iraq’s schools, for a total of 4,544 schools.....
There are just too many to list here, if you can look at those web sites, you can look at these, or are you afraid to see the truth?
You are beneath contempt......Your commentary shows your ignorance. Please feel free to go to Iraq and take up a rifle, or continue to spew your vile propaganda, either way I know you would have a slap in the face with a reality that lies beyond your sophomoric level of comprehension.
US SOLDIERS ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD

YOUR AN IDIOT! Why dont you try defending your country? You seem to think you have the balls enough to stand up here and criticize our men, when you dont even have the balls to be out there on the front lines! Not all soldiers are bad! Just because the media only decides to show the "bad things " that go on over there dosent mean there arent good things. American media just wants us to see the bad stuff to make our troops out to be bad, when in fact our troops are doing a hell of a job over there. God knows most of them rather be at home with their families!

And just because there are a very small number that is doing something wrong you blame all?
So with this type of logic then what ever profession you are in ALL are doing things wrong and hurting everyone?
So then with that statement why are you such an evil person and why don't you stop?
It is really sad to think this line of thinking is still going on.
It was ALL the teenagers were bad, no All the policemen and policewomen are bad, All doctors are bad, and so on and so on. It is less than 1% that is bad so please do not lump EVERYONE in your group that is doing something wrong!

I first want to say I am not a soldier and can't see myself being one....it takes a special kind of person to do what they do everyday. I only have respect for those men and women. I am not going to sit here and say that what those soldier in those articles did was right because it was not and they are going to be punished for what they did, however, there are thousands of people in the US armed forces and you are talking about how many...10 or 15. That is like saying....There is one person from a group of 100 people that killed someone else..so they are all murders. Those men and women who serve this country deserve only the best from us and people like you just make me sick....those men and women are the only thing that keeps you sitting there and bad mouthing them....and do you know what....saying what you want is a right you have in this country....you have to right to say you hate this military....what makes me even more pround of the men and women in our armed service....they will keep fighting for you right to say what you want...even if it is talking smack about them....SUPPORT THIS COUNTRY AND SUPPORT OUR TROOPS....
