If you listen to some of these negative people you are stupid. Is he a good person? Does he treat you right? Do you love him? Can you see a future with him as a person?
Your parents have nothing to do with the happiness in your relationships. You have to live your life for yourself not your parents. They had their chance to live their life the way they wanted to. If they disapproved who cares! As long as you know what you want. Experience things for yourself. This life is all about good and bad. This relationship might not turn out the way you think it will, but you might discover something you never knew about yourself. I know I did and the person I married is the best descision I could have ever made and she is not of my same race. I love her for her. As long as he gives you what you need and makes you happy, race has nothing to do with it.
People will always have their views and opinions of things but, when it comes to this, form your own, don't let someone else's twisted experience be your take on things.

I never cared what other people thought (nor do I now).
But I don't do the interracial thing anymore, it didn't work out.

yes i have been through it many many times, it all depends on how much confidenc you have. i am white and i used to only date black guys, my parents hated it but knew i would do whatever i want.. eventually they got used to it and started to get to know the guys and like them, now i switched to a mexican! funny huh well they accept him more than the others. i never cared what they thought i dont need their acceptance to be happy , i love them dearly but that is just me! do what makes YOU happy dont try to please others! its not selfish, its loving your self and u need to love ur self to be happy! good luck!

Yes . I told my parent's that he really cared about me and I cared about him. And that's all that matters. And they were fine with it.
