has anyone died their hair from brunnette to blonde and looked better than what you expected?

I went from a brunette to a blond. I have light skin and eyes, so I think my coloring works well with it, which is very important. I also have it done professionally, any color change this drastic should be left to professional. You know what? You'll never know if you don't try...nothing is permanent, if it doesn't work for you just change it back...Have Fun!

Not I! Bleaching is a tricky process, and my hair came out looking like a tequila sunrise--very blonde on top and darker at the ends. And when it started to grow out--that was even worse! So I re-dyed it dark and gave up on blondeness, even though I am an airhead and would have made a pretty good blonde! It isn't for everyone! Oh yes, and try on a wig first before you do anything, because there are certain skin tones that look absolutely awful with certain shades of blonde. Found that out, too!

Yeah it can look great
also watch out for the roots though if you have really dark hair!! Go to the hairdressers, get the right shades.

Highlights can be a good idea as well so its not too extreme,
i have highlights and they started darker blonde and two tones but eventually built up, i have light brown hair naturally so people think im a natural blonde.

the best bet is asking your hairdresser.

I've had my hair highlighted really blonde to the point where I looked like a blonde and got a lot of compliments. but it took and few tries to get it that blonde because my hair is a hard brown.

Oh sure! It can look amazing as long as you get it done the right way! I went blonde a few years ago, and normally my hair is very, VERY dark brown. It looked wonderful when it was done....I LOVED IT! I just eventually got sick of it and went dark again. LOL. But, DO NOT try to do it yourself if you're not a professional! Believe me, it's well worth the money to get it done right. But you also have to take into consideration that when your roots start to grow, you're going to have to spend money to get it fixed again. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

Very difficult to get right on your own. If you want to be blonde its better to go to the hairdresser otherwise you might end up with bright orange hair. I know! I've been there!

i hated it when i got my hair dyed blonde. none of my clothes or makeup worked with the new color. also it burned while i was waiting for it to process, it had to be rinsed early, because it hurt so bad.

the upkeep on a drastic color change like that is heck! you have to touch up the roots so often or they look dirty.......you may wish to get a wig that has the color you think you want, and then you can switch back and forth without the upkeep and the damage to your hair.

Mine did not suit my skin tone and it looked HORRIBLE!!!! I have to stick to my natural colour which is reddish.
