slavery in the world is a huge problem. I personally know of a slave (been sent to this country from china, forced to work in a sweatshop in chinatown, ny to pay off her "debt" of costing her to relocate to this country.

she is only 17. the cops cant do anything, they know if it. the organization is too large and she afraid to say anything cause they can and probably will kill her family back home.

to stop slavery we need to take out the slave traders not those who employ/use the slaves. this is a bigger problem than we think.

The illegals are criminals not slaves and they are very free to leave. We do however have a problem with slavery in this country and this condition was created by democrats who have made a race of people believe there only requirement in life is to live off of social programs. Those are the true slaves.

Slavery (I believe) is defined as forced servitude (labor). The amount of compensation for services rendered is not a factor. I.E. There have been cases of slaves who were paid and there are many cases where "free" people have worked without any compensation at all.
Thus the criteria for slavery hinges upon the issue of free will. While there are occasional cases of this happening in the US, I would say they are rather rare and usually the guilty party is prosecuted.

As far as I am aware the only instance where the term "willing slave" is applicable is in S&M. The "slaves" you are speaking of have the ability to leave, to find another job, to become legal, to get an education, to seek and profit from opportunities, to buy and trade, to own property and to decide the ultimate course of their own lives. How is that being a "slave"?

To GeneJohn : There actually are examples of slavery in the US, however most of the slaves authorities have found have been WHITE. They are sex slaves, girls and boys held againest their will to provide sex to the clients of their "owners".

Slavery isn't stopped, simply by prevalence complicated interior the human techniques. this promises the theory that one guy is above yet another, and that others could desire to obey. interior the militia, it extremely is authentic - interior loose existence it extremely isn't any longer. Slavery can not be abolished simply by fact of people who think of it is authentic. hence... eliminate the source, eliminate the difficulty. the human beings who transport human beings into the country are the source. start up there.

Are you saying that people are mis-treated? That wasn't what Lincoln did, he only freed people from chains. But No one in the world has declared that all humans should be treated like people. It is a god-given right for the powerful to abuse and mistreat all others. Hell, we can even do better than just abuse them, we can kill them too. For Land's sakes...we can kill each other...look at these wonderful genocides like Cambodia killing about 1/3rd of its population, and let's not forget the British slaughter in India, or Idi Amin, or the star of everything Hitler. I jest but the facts are true that the whites have caused a great deal of pain to others...the colonization of many countries, but it is not only the whites as the Japanese did great harm to China, and Middle-easterners enslaved many around Madagascar so much so that some islands were depopulated completely.....and I think to myself what a wonderful world!

When welfare ceases to exist.

Right now, I am a slave for about 1 workday a week, with someone else benefitting from my labor. This slavery is done via government welfare programs, where I am forced to work to put food on others' tables, pay their medical bills, put a roof over their heads, etc.

This is the very definition of slavery. Open your eyes! Forced 'charity' is not charity. It is theft and slavery.

Then go back to Mexico where you can be a slave AND not get paid anything. Why do they all want to come here? Because they do better here than in Mexico. Dont worry though,I will pay my taxes so all the Mexican illegals can have welfare, free doctors, etc. Oh its SOO Bad isnt it?

it's not slave labor because they are being paid. slavery is for free. also, they aren't usually beaten and tortured like slaves were. these people aren't legal citizens either. they don't have the same rights as us. if they get paid below minimum wage for a job that no American wants to do, then that's good, because they're going the job.

These illegals have put themselves in the situation themselves allowing for lower wages to be offered. There is no slave labor. Only what they are used to getting is a lot less and they seem greatful for the most part to be getting what they are here. They came here without permission, are using up benefits illegally, draining our resources for health and welfare. You have the audacity to take up for them when they are robbing our system
