Hi!
I have a Samsung Digimax S800 camra and it keeps shineing this bright orange light whenever I take a picture. Is there any way I can get this to stop?

That's the autofocus assist lamp. Turn off autofocus (and focus manually) and it should stop lighting up.

The answer is not to turn off autofocus. The answer is to check thru the menus and find where you can turn off the focus assist beam or something similar. You can still use autofocus and not have that assist beam firing off.

it's detecting the light and helping you know where you're aiming, i think. my aunt has one, and i'm pretty sure she turned hers off. read the instruction manual or go to samsung's website.
