It's hard to say exactly. Many people have returned to New Orleans and the surrounding areas (both black and white). Many don't want to go back---then all have different reasons.

I was confused, though, on how many people turned this into a race issue. Some were talking about thugs and whatever. Why do some people get so radical?

To someone judging the black people... Excuse me, watch what you say... I've met some intelligent black people, and some really nice. So watch your mouth, otherwise I'll have to put soap in there! NOT EVERY single black person dresses, acts the same, so STOP IT!

By the way, I don't even know about how many in New Orleans now after the hurricane.

On one hand you feel sorry for the african american..

On the other hand why do they have to be so violent all the time? Why do they want to dress like little "thugs"??

Well, there are violent people in every race. I guess the reason we associate it with blacks is because we see them get arrested more for it.

WTF? Everyone that lived there before should go back. Why is everyone turning this question into a race issue? Taking cheap shots at other races shows that you have issues with yourself.
