Well, that depends my dear on what country they live in and how much money they have. If they have access to medicine or not. When you look at thoose statistics then we can talk! If we are talking about Africa, well not many as most of the children that are there have AIDS and there parents are dead. They are poor and have no access to medication. So in that sense not many!

Dear Holly and others,
There are some of us who have been living with AIDS for more than 10 to 15 years, and are doing just fine now, due to the medication and therapy advances.
I'm going on at least 17 years, since it is unclear exactly when I became HIV+. I have friends who have passed 20 years. I have not had a lot of medical procedures - unless you count 8 bouts of pneumonia. I am fully back to work and quite active physically.
Before you make blanket statements, please check the facts.
Thanks for your continued good wishes.

Not too many, the time a preson lives with aids is only a few years , however some people have lived for years and years, bu have had many medical proceedures (thus not a great life living in the hospital etc.)

AIDS or HIV? They are not the same. Second, what area are you talking about? In Africa, very few. In the US, a fair number since the introduction of the "triple cocktail" ten years ago.

this is dependent on quite a number of factors....but 1stly you have to see where the person live in and if the person has access to medication (like what others had mention). and also when the person discovered that he has such condition and when he started treatment. because the eariler he starts his treatment, the chance of him living longer will be higher.
but in some cases, i know...once they discovered that they had such condition, they cant face the world and committed suicide. which is a sad thing.....................

Speaking that you haven't gotten an answer from a person who has, I'm guessing there aren't a lot.

Isn't kind of odd that there has never been a quarantine on a disease that has killed millions?
