If you give me a rifle, I'll pop out the clip, eject the round out of the chamber and shove it muzzle first into the dirt.
Fighting for the Lord is an oxymoron. If you are secure in your beliefs you are not defensive. When you are defenseless then there is nothing to defend.
The very fact that people think they need to fight to promote their beliefs is a sure sign that their beliefs are flawed and uncertain.

Those of us served in the armed forces of the U.S. can tell you that our oath was to defend the Constitution against all forces, external OR INTERNAL. In short, make sure your "fight for the Lord" doesn't attempt to trample our founding principles - or you might find a lot of us on the other side of the trench.

I will always fight for the lord, but would not likely pick up a rifle. And, technically, no one should ever have to fight or die for the Lord as he has the control of everything. Good question, tho I gave you a thumbsies upsies!

Fighting for the Lord does not involve violence. No need for a rifle. Jesus told us to put our swords away. Jesus was never armed.
