Hi there, my ex boyfriend sent me this message which was meant for another girl " hey so do you still like me, why did you tell tom (his mate and her cousin) what i said to you that was between you and me" when i asked him about it, he eventually said that this girl faniced him, but that it was a harmless message. I got it at 11pm in the night when he said he was very very drunk. Was I right to dump him. He still texts me a long time later and says the only reason we ever broke up was because he wasnt ready for committment.

Girl you did the right thing by kicking his butt to the curb he is full of s#$%. First of all he had no right send no damn text message to the chick anyway being that he was in a relationship. No matter how harmless he thought it was it wasn't harmless. He was trying to fish out info and see if the girl was feeling him etc which would have then lead to him messing with her behind yo back. But the problem is his dumb a#$ sent it to the wrong person and got caught. Being drunk had nothing to do with anything he is just a lying a#$ dog. You did right by letting his a#$ go cause you saved yourself a lot of heartache job well done.

I am going to go ahead and say that you were right to question it.
Whether or not he had a committment issue will now remain unknown. If he went straight to this other girl after you dumped him, then there was probably going to have been a problem with the two of them conflicting your relationship anyway.

I think by dumping him you probably saved yourself from an even harder and more painful break-up.

Best wishes and many prayers to you.

You jumped to the conclusion that the text message was meant for you, when it wasn't. Do you think it was really justified to just dump him reguardless of the situation? I have been dumped many times before for no reason at all, and it hurts I can tell you, especially as I knew I did nothing wrong. So he was drunk, and he accidentally dialled your number to send the message, but that was no actual reason to dump him.

Yes, you were right. Would you ever trust him? He should be texting you when he's drunk, not some random girl. Find someone who doesn't have committment issues, those guys are more trouble than they're worth.

Well, I don't know if you should have dumped him over a wrong text message. After all he had not committed a crime yet. People do strange things when they are drunk. Trying giving him another chance if you want.

You were 100% right and you should not even think about him at all... You are much better off, he had something else going on and you just found out... Forget him, find a good honest man that will treat you right...

Alcohol isn't a reason , just an excuse.
I wouldn't feel guilty about your decision.
If what you were wanting was a committed relationship you made the right choice.

Yeah you were right to do it. Just get somebody better who deserves you, he just seems like a liar and he wanted 2 at the same time.

You were right to dump him. And maybe you should remind him that you broke up because he was unable to get his text numbers right.
