Oh man, I don't even think it's those ones. People take verses out of context and put meaning into them that they were never intended to have. A good example is the verse Romans 2:1, which says, "You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same thing." Most people would say that means we should not "judge" others (never say they are wrong). But if you read it in context, just a few verses before, Paul was pretty (very) harsh saying that what people do is wrong. So we have added a meaning to the word judge that it did not originally mean. This is just one example. There are so many more, including the two you gave.

"I came to give life, and it give it more abundantly" Often used by televangelists and wealth and health preachers to promote their idea that God wants us to be wealthy, that it is His only desire in our lives. Just send them some money, they say, and God will bless you 10 times over. Well, who ever equated life with wealth? Thats not the true intention of this verse!
