and it's just you...
You waste your time (and the time of others) trying to prove that you are right...

Good for you. Keep walking through life ignoring all things you disagree with. Way to be a champion for your cause.
I personally like to debate issues that matter to me. Being an Atheist, I find it extremely rewarding to discuss religion with actual cult members. As an Atheist, I have been put down for my beliefs by so many religious people, I feel the duty to call you religious people out when espousing your mythical beliefs.

Well that's a two-edged sword, my friend. Because here you are also trying to prove to people that what you believe is right. It's only human nature to seek validation for your beliefs. Though I do agree that the self-proclaimed "regulars" of this Y!A board seem more than a little desperate to prove that they're smarter than everybody else.

Because this country is being thrown back to the Dark Ages by xians who have hijacked our media, government, political parties and judiciary. It is our job to make this world the best we can and the best way to do that is to rid this world of fantasies and myths.

Because people with religious beliefs have a tremendous affect on the laws under which they live. Atheists, agnostics, and I would prefer to be guided by our own moral guidleines than by the arbitrary decrees of an ancient text.

Mabybe for the same reason religious types try to comvert others. Everyone feels the need to not be alone. If there are more Athiests there will be more people they feel that they can connect to.

Then again...why do the Christians try so hard to convert others and prove themselves 'right'?

Satan works through people. He will do anything to get people on his side. Athiests feel that they need to recruit new members because they are the minority.

You know you are right. There is no reason to disprove something that you say it doesn't exist.

They think of it as sport. Behind a computer people are big talking. Get them face to face and they'd squirm.
