I am a 5ft 6in female, 130-135 lbs, and wear a size 5. I'm also smaller boned (not petite) My family thinks I am way too thin, yet they are all a little taller and 60-70lbs heavier. Also I am fairly tonned.

As long as you are comfortable with who you are then don't worry about what other people think of you even family. By the way that you described yourself I don't think that you are to thin. I think that you are right on target for a 5ft. 6in. woman.

You weigh what I weighed when I got married. It's a healthy weight. Check out your BMI It's 21.8 Right in the normal range.

Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women.

BMI Categories:

Underweight = <18.5
Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
Overweight = 25-29.9
Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

No, you aren't too thin ... if that is your true size and weight then you are at the perfect weight for your height according to the BMI calculator. if you don't believe me just google BMI calculator and it will show you the range you should be in and calculate it for you.. remember this is a system based on health (the BMI thing), not on looks.. so though they may want you to LOOK different, you are at a HEALTHY weight.

I think your weight and height sound great!
Parents always worry about their kids!
My daughter is 5'2 and weighs about 100lbs, and is a size 0. I think she's quite thin - but as long as she is eating healthy and feels good and has energy, I don't worry. It's when I don't see her eating and very busy that I get concerned.

Well i'm 5'4'', female, and I use to weight 135 and I looked skinny and healthy (ran cross country and track in hs). Now i weight 154, lol.....so yeah, i'm trying to get back down to 135. Anyways, it wouldn't hurt you to gain a healthy ten pounds, but with healthy foods, not crap.

You are fine as you are. Your BMI is about 21-22, which is not too skinny, it's just right. Size 5 is pretty ideal too, not too skinny, just nice and slim. Your family don't need to worry, you sound perfectly healthy. HTH : )

You could do with putting on a few pounds but the bottom line is that if your happy with yourself and your weight why change it? I'm 6'2" and weigh 12.2st and my mum tells me i'm thin!!!

If you feel good and are healthy, don't worry about what anybody else says. Some People are just naturally thin and the people who aren't sometimes get pissed about it.
