Face to face is a god way to see the body language the other person is using, you can usually tell if they are lying by their body language. however so people are not good at expressing themselves face to face, so a letter comes in very handy. For example i can express myself fairly wel lface to face, but if i write a letter i can get the deep down emotions out much better.

In some aspects yes...but if you are a writer by nature...then the written words can be more of a communication tool...I know I am not a face to face person, who can easily vocalise the true things they want to say..to do this with all its content I would have to write it down.....good luck....

Totally agree.

People get information not just from the words that are communicated, but also from watching other people's facial expressions and body language.

i guess that depends on the situation. ie. if you break up with someone...face to face. going to meat for dinner.. phone call...depends on the situation. but face to face puts you right there to be eye to eye. take the heat or get the point across. emails and phone its easier to say what you really want to because you have the security of not having to be in front of that person if you dont want to argue etc. so it depends...
