There is no advantage. Once you know C is incorrect, both A and
B have 50% probability of being correct (from your perspective).
The difference between this and the Monty Hall Problem is that the
teacher has no knowledge of your choice. Hence, the teacher is
equally likely to reveal either of the incorrect responses, regardless
of which option you've selected so far.

Yes. Because by randomly choosing one of three you have a one in three chance of being right...
Since the instructor knows which answers are wrong he is just telling you one of the wrong answers... so B has a 2 in three chance of being right... assumption is that if you had picked C he would have said either A or B was incorrect...
This was a puzzle years ago called the Let's Make a Deal puzzle based on the three curtains at the end of the show...
