It's strange because I kind of miss it even though I never used to watch it! I think this is because it was always there, and now it's gone, like a mole which the doctor had to remove.

I miss Top of the Pops a lot. It was a good round up of what's about in the charts and always had a good mix of today's best pop music on it.
I don't buy the argument that people prefer music channels. After all, they play two songs then go to a commercial break, and sometimes all of those naff txt games and "facts of the day" etc. take up so much of the screen it's hardly worth watching. I like to see acts in a studio, rather than videos all the time.
Also, someone said it's becuase people like to choose what they listen to. I disagree. How can you choose what you want, if you don't know of all the new music out there? It was good becuase it kept you up to date on all the current new releases.
I think it lost it's way when they introduced gossip features, special guests, competitions, presenter chat etc. I think it would be good if it came back and just played the music. I don't really care what pop stars think about politics or world events - just play some tunes!!

I miss it, catching the end of top of the pops was the only way I could find out the number one. Its history TV, we can't forget performances like Nirvana and James Dean Bradfield from the Manic Street Preachers wearing a Balaclava on stage. It was important music television, bring modern music to all the people not just those lucky enough to get MTV.

I used to love topt when i was younger, the thing to remember totp started the whole music television generation and will live on as the original. Totp came to the end because you can't choose what song you want to put on or watch it when you are in the mood not when TV schedules say so.
I miss it because it reminds of my younger days

I miss watching it for the charts and for something to watch in a time period that never has anything decent on.
