Immanuel is a name-title applied to Jesus. Isaiah 7:14 shows that Immanuel is in fact Jesus because it says a maiden herself will actually become pregnant, and she is giving birth to a son, and she will certainly call his name Immanuel. The hebrew word translated maiden is al-mah having a broader reference to a young woman, who could be either a virgin maiden or a recently married woman. The maiden is Jesus' mother Mary, in the first part of verse 14 it says the men will be given a sign. Mary becoming pregnant was the sign.
Jesus is in fact the Son of God, and he himself said that in John 10:34-36. The jews were going to try to stone Jesus saying he was making himself a god. But Jesus replied "is it not written in your Law, 'I said: "You are gods" '? If he called 'gods' those against whom the word of God came, and yet the Scriptures cannot be nullified, do you say to me whom the Father sanctified and dispatched into the world, 'You blaspheme,' because I said, I am God's Son?" So Jesus asked them are you going to stone me, accuse me of blasphemy because I said I am God's Son, he never claimed to be God or to be equal to God. John 5:19,20, Phillipians 2:6, John 14:28, 1 Corinthians 15:28, Matthew 22:23 and Matthew 24:36 also supports that Jesus is not God.
Gods name is Jehovah, and his name can be found in Genesis 22:14, Exodus 6:3; 17:15, Judges 6:24, Psalms 83:18 and Isaiah 12:2; 26:4.

Emmanuel means "God with us." Christ is a greek work which means "the annointed one." It was not even applied until long after Jesus of Nazareth was dead. Jesus is a latin version of Joshua. Therefore the whole name thing is just translations and applications.
Be content that you have faith. Don't worry about names. HE knows who you are talking to.

Read the Tanakh(Hebrew Bible). In the tanakh it is not a prophecy but an event that IS TAKING PLACE AT THAT TIME. It says something like: "A young women(not virgin) has given birth and she has named the child Immanuel". The birth of the child is meant as a sign that God was with Israel at that time.

You need to stop saying that. Whoever told you that Jesus is God lied to you. Jesus is not God. If your minister told you that he is a liar to.
Jesus has different names in different places. Just as God has different names in different places.
Do some research and see what you come up with.
