We were talking about how I am thinking about moving in with my friend after my apartment lease is up. He said that he would live with me, but I told him that I wouldn't live with a guy unless I was married (he already knows this). He said that in 6 months to a year we could live together. He said it was a hint... Do you think this means he is going to ask me to marry him soon and be married within 6 months to a year? or does it mean that he is planning on asking me to marry him in 6 months to 1 year?

Don't over analyze... you will only be upset when it doesn't happen the way you suspect.

I think that good things are coming your way. Do not hang on to time tables. What you need to do is ask whether or not you will live with him while being engaged or will you only live with him if he's your husband. FYI... on an average people usually plan their weddings a year and a half out.

He's definitely planning on asking you to marry him, but keep in mind that either way, it takes at least 6 months to plan a wedding. Also, getting engaged then IMMIDIATELY planning a wedding is rushing things (if you ask me). Wouldn't you want to relax a little and enjoy being engaged for a few months, and THEN start planning your wedding?

All I know is congratualtions on not rushing things with moving in! Me and my boyfriend were dating for 3 months when I moved in (but everything still working out good). Good luck to you!

maybe you saying you wouldn't live with a man unless you were married is a hint from you to him. so he hinted back to you. why dont you two just talk it over and find out what each other wants. Good luck and Happy wedding

It may be a hint but don't go off an assumption and put the buggy before the horse as they say, wait for him to ask you before you make any arrangements.

Be careful what you ask for you just might get it. Speaking from experience once you get it you find it hard to get rid of.Depending on your age, and experience, if you are young if it is meant to be it will happen, if he is not living with you and if he is responsible why does he need to live with some one or where is his apartment now????

Good for you and stick to your guns about living together!

Tell him you can't base your relationship on hints, but you need to know what he's talking about. Regardless - wait until your married.
Maybe he knows something of his current job situation and could be laid off...then you will be stuck supporting him. Who knows what's on his mind -

Maybe he will propose ... Christmas is coming up so maybe it will happen then (or Valentine's Day is only 5 months away too)

Maybe he wants to move in with you so you're always available for a quick one ... have you considered being his sex toy 24/7?

He might consider engagement as enough to get you to live with him. Only he knows though so maybe you should talk it over
