This news story just made me shudder.

This make no sense she was in a group home . How could no one notice a baby in a bucket of vomit ? Their had to be others around if it was a group home . Negligence on all parties involved . If she was in a group home how was she aloud to go party them come home and tend to an infant ? This is horrible and some one other than the mother ( the mother also ) should also be punished .

She was living in a group home, probably for teen mothers. The people who were supposed to be supervising her there should also be charged. Also hopefully this serves as a lesson to those around her teens and adults alike.
I feel for the baby and her mother. At the same time this happens and needs to be used as a learning experience. My friend went to bed one night and accidently suffocated her son nursing him (she was 22 a the time and was not intoxicated) . Didn't realize it till the morning... She was not charged but has to live with what happened the rest of her life.

This story made me sick.. Parents, teachers etc..really needs to teach the consequences of getting pregnant or for boys getting girls pregnant. When you become a parent the child comes first not partying. Now a days sex is just for fun not love. Towns and communities should come up with more youth programs for children to teach about theses issues and job skills the importance of education. This is another story where this young mother was not taught. It is a shame.

This is awful!! People like this should have to report for monthly Depo shots at the probabtion office!! Should be an automatic removal from motherhood in my book. That baby doesn't get a second chance, neither should she. We all need to definitely work at educating and watching our own children to try to prevent such tragedies in the future.

That is just awful. How can you seriously not know that you child has fallen away from you. And second of all why was the baby in the bed anyways. That is just awful

I never understood how people who are careless and frankly stupid can get pregnant at a mometns notice, and how people who make wonderful mothers and faters can try so hard and never concieve. It is truly an unfair world.

its tragic! this is why we need to educate our children better about sex and getting pregnant because too many irresponsible children are having kids..........it saddens me. we need to make it easier for girls to get on the pill or some sort of birth control.and educate boys to cover their little trouble makers. I'm a mother i feel for the girls loss but this could have been prevented.

That poor, poor baby. If this girl was in a group home, why was she allowed to go out partying? And why was she allowed to let her baby sleep in her bed?

Very tragic. Never get so drunk there's a possiblity of harming your child. It's not only tragic, it's stupid.
Some people just shouldn't breed.
