Roman numerals are used in legal documents and formal statements like Films and Television copyright dates. They are most frequently seen as list numbers, time pieces and historic Roman coins, art and antiquities in museums and antique shops, chord triads in music analysis, the numbering of movie sequels, book publication dates, successive rulers or other persons with identical names, and the numbering of some sport events, such as the Olympic Games or the Super Bowls. Typically books have chapter headings as numerals, and number their forward pages with Roman numerals to indicate that it is the page forward. Nearly all computer word processing packages (Word, PDF) allow uppercase and lowercase Roman numerals as list item indicators.

Roman numerals are also used in classic style watch and clock faces where the Roman number for 4 is often written as IIII rather than IV, to add symmetry and balance to the face. Quite often you can see Roman numerals used to indicate the time on sundials.

If A man named Bob has a son Named Bob, we would call him Bob II , or Bob the second. Other areas are in the generation of certain sports games Like Super Bowl XX (Super Bowl 20). I don't know if we still do it but Roman Numerals used to be used in Movie credits for years. Some clocks use roman numerals to give them a classic look.

Sure! as I learned from watching the Simpsons, how would you know the order of the Rocky movies without knowing Roman Numerals! Rocky IV came after Rocky III.
Also, take a look at the end of movies and television shows at the date stamps. The are usually in Roman Numerals.
