I'm getting married in less than 3 months and I've been racking my brain trying to come up with a cute idea of getting myself, the Bride, and the groom to kiss at the reception. We want to stay away from clinging the glasses or having a guest sing something with the word "Love" in it. Any ideas are welcome. It would be of so much help.

I am just going to say you should kiss him when the feeling moves you. You can play the games where they call out a word and you kiss him, or clink glasses, or whatever, but i say, if its there- do it! I would stay away from tongues, or too much PDA, but a kiss just because is great. If you have to go with fun kissing...lets see....

You can pass out kissy cards to the guests. To get you to kiss, the guest has to bring it to you and wish you well or let you nkow something about marriage. Or you can place an undetermined amount of cards under the guests seats. If a guest has one- they have to sing a few lines of a love song and then you kiss..

good luck!

To brides everywhere:

Does this detail REALLY need to be planned for? Just let the people clink glasses for pete's sake, and stop trying to ruin their fun! They'll clink a bit, and you'll kiss a bit, and then they'll get bored with it and eat, and that will be the end of that problem!

Couples who try to make it all complicated and try to get their guests to sing and stuff are just totally overthinking their reception planning.

Whatever you do, DO NOT PROVIDE THOSE HORRIBLE LITTLE BELLS. That is all you will hear for the entire reception.

You could always go with the old african tradition of "jumping the broom", symbolizing that you're leaping into a new life together. You could get the tradition straw broom and have it decorated to match your wedding theme and/or colors. At the ringing of bells you and the groom (joined arm in arm) leap over the broom on the floor. Then you kiss once you land on the other side of the broom. You hardly see this used anymore so it would be very unique. Hope this helps and congradulations on your new beginning.

Hug him first then release immediately and kiss him on the lips in fraction of seconds and then take his hand and pose before the camera.

Why not get the bells to ring? They're cute. They even make them with little hearts on top to double as place card holders.

Wow. Do you not just kiss, naturally? The clinking is a tradition, people will do it anyway.

What about something like those party poppers? When one is popped and the confetti flies, then a kiss.
