its becdause of build-up. you should wash your hair more often, and if you aleady DO wash your hair everyday like I do, than something in that brand must not be good for your hair. try thermasilk if you haven't already, i use that one (the "fresh scent" one) and I never have build up

have you ever thought that maybe the white flakes are dandruff? almost everyone in my family has dandruff but i dont. i DID have some the couple days that i didnt wash myhair and when i dont use my aussie hair stuff

head and shoulders (they tell you that it "kills" dandruff but h&s really makes dandruff into just much smaler pices, too small to see.) works well on dandruff.

Aussie 3-minute-miracle reconstructioner conditioner makes your hair and scalp moisturized and even though it says to wash it out, leave it in and your hair will be maaaaarvelous

every item i've talked about costs less than $4 each

Avoid using it to close to your head. Also, spray lightly. I recommend Rave hairspray. You only need a little and it never leaves flakes in my hair. Make sure when you spray, you evenly distribute throughout the area that needs attention.

When you spray your hairspray too close to your head, it can clump and dry flaky. I would suggest that you make sure you hold your hairspray at least 12 inches away from your head before you spray. The mist will be so fine that it shouldn't dry flaky.

first off your using to much hairspray at one time , and second if you use lots of hairspray every day you should wash your hair every day or else it will cake up on hair and look flakey.

try changing your hairspray -- you may be spraying it too close to your head-- or try spraying hairspray on your hands and or brush and style your hair that way.

There is a hair product brand named Aussie, use that. It doesn't flake, its relatively cheap and it smells awesome

Mainly because it has alcohol in it and it dries out your hair and scalp. Change your hairspary and get something with less alcohol in it.

You must be using too much. Try using less or a different brand.
