I can speak in regards the US, but assume Britain is the same. We can join an army of our allies, but once they become an enemy than we are an enemy of the state. Are they paying the Russian Military now?

This is a rare question indeed.

Call the Russian Embassy in London and inquire. The Russian Federation runs their military on a dual volunteer-conscription system that hits certain age brackets hard. At minimum, you'd likely be required to demonstrate fluency in Russian and have permanent resident status or citizenship in order to volunteer. Becoming a commissioned officer is likely not available to you. Being of Russian descent would likely help as well (as opposed to being of, say, Middle Eastern descent) in your quest.

The Russians have a pretty bad rep when it comes to training recruits and discipline, but if you're REALLY wanting to go in, get scuffed up and thrashed and then do a rotation or two in Chechnya, be your own guest. At the very least, get yourself into the VDV.

Sure you want to join the Russkies? They're so cash strapped that many of their top of the line hardware are left to rot & they even conduct military tours where you can drive & fire from a tank at approx USD 20,000 a round

What possible reason would you have for wanting to do that, they don't pay their troops regularly and when they do it's terrible. Join the British military is you want, or even the French Foreign Legion (they still have that it's kind of cool)

a little joke about the Russian army

Kruchev was a general in the russian army
as the men lined up for drills Kruchev would walk down the rows of soldiers and slap them on the d**k and say DOES THAT HURT each man in turn would say NO SIR!
Kruchev would answer WHY DON'T IT HURT?
they replied CAUSE I'M IN KRUCHEV'S ARMY!
he walked up to the next man and slapped him on the d**k
as he did the others and said DOES THAT HURT?
the soldier didn't flinch and said NO SIR
Kruchev said WHY DON'T IT HURT?
the soldier replied...CAUSE IT BELONGS TO THE MAN STANDING BEHIND ME

I'd like to know why you would want to do that.
It sounds like a really stupid thing to do.
