If a boat has 7 rungs on its ladder and at low tide you can see all 7 rungs, each rung is 1 foot apart, the tide comes in at half a foot per hour, after 5 hours how many rungs on the boats ladder can you still see?

7 rungs ... as long as the boat is floating

but would the tide have turned by 5 hours

yer the boat rises unless there are heavy weights attchhed in that case none cause then it would be underwater but if by some reason that the water rises and the boat stayes stil then the answer is 4 and ahalf rungs i think
