The Minnesotans have a state dish called "hotdish" It is called casserole in most parts of the country.
It consists of a meat or tuna, some cream of mushroom soup and sometimes noodles.
Examples:
Tator Tot hotdish
Tuna Noodle Hotdish
Taco Hotdish

The land of 10,000 lakes also loves fish. Beer battered Walleye is a favorite.

I am from Minnesota and I like just about anything anyone else eats. It is true that us Minnesotans make and eat hotdish, which does include using Cream of Mushroom soup in the recipe, though my favorite food is Crab legs. If you go to a graduation party or any other gathering, you will see here on the buffet table potato salad, buns, and deli meat and cheese. Minnesota is also one of the biggest supplier of Wild Rice, apples (Jonathan apples are from Jonathan, MN), and a berry called Gooseberries.

Thank God nobody's said lutefisk! Casseroles (I was raised in Iowa so I don't say hotdish), potato salad, fish, wild game (probably shot and killed themselves),
