Apple slices. If this is for kids lunches or after school, one apple sliced will be enough for 2 kids. You may want to dip the slices into lemon-water to keep it from turning brown later. LL lemon makes it tart so I add water to the lemon 1/2 and 1/2. I serve it with peanut butter to dip it in sometimes. You can all kinds of fruit that can be carried whole to be eaten anywhere. You can have cheerios or a granola cereal in a baggie.I make my own granola so I know what is in it and sometimes change up the ingredients so we won't get tired of the same one.Breakfast bars that have fruit filling. This may sound weird but lately I have been having apple pie filling for snacks! It is prepared, low in fats and calories, and good with the spices added already. You can get 2 or 3 servings from one can and I buy the store brand which is just as good but much cheaper.Have a glass of skim milk! I still use whole milk and think it is good for you. God made it whole, didn't he?Celery with peanut butter or pimento cheese spread on it is a great snack with roughage and protein! Best wishes and I hope this helps!

Of course any fresh vegetable is good. Cut up carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower. Then there are those 100 caloires snack packs that are like Oreo's or mimic other snacks. Stay away from chips and cookies. Some low-fat or fat-free crackers are good (like wheat thins). I think they taste better than regular potato chips. You could put low-fat cream cheese on them (instead of butter or cheese.) But even cheese you can get the low-fat kind (like mozeralla) and snack all you want. I hope this gets you started thinking. Anything that you pick out, you'll just need to read the label and see if it is low on calories and fat.

Celery is the lowest-calorie food in the world. It effectively has negative calories, as scientists believe it burns more calories to eat a stalk than are actually contained in it. I is also loaded with fiber and vitamins.
Celery with peanut butter (fat yes, but very good fat)
Apples
Cottage cheese and fruit (berries, pineapple)
Whole wheat bread topped with peanut butter (Stay away from jelly!)
Bananas
Cheese and fruit (Quite good actually)
Unsweetened yogurt and fruit (You can sweeten it yourself. Sweetend yogurt has high-fructose corn syrup which is the trans fat version of sugar)
Any variety of nuts.
Those are just a few of the best snacks I know of. They are excellent for energy and do not cost you calorie and fat-wise. Some snacks have fewer calories and fat but are empty and useless to our bodies.
Hope this helps. :)

The obvious choices are fruit and vegitables.
Other choices.
- Cheese - Many cheeses, like mozarella, are quite low in fat and loaded with calcium.
- Yogurt - Non fat and low sugar favors are available. Like eating dessert that is good for you.
- Power Bars - Go to a gormet or natural foods grocery and look at the options in the 'power bars' aisle. There are a lot of choices, many of which are very tasty. I really like the Nectar bars by ClifBar. They only contain dates and nuts, but taste great (and count as a fruit/vegi).
- Breakfast cereal - many choices, and many provide fiber, whole grains, etc. Eat with low or non fat milk. Or, eat them right out of the box as a crunchy snack.

Here's some goodies that are cheap: Carrot sticks, celery sticks, popcorn (without butter), fruits ( grapefruits, oranges, apples, pears, plums), Pita chips, salad mix with lowfat dressings, baked potatos when you can handle carbs with very little salt and lots of ground pepper, tomato slices, cottage cheese with any of the above on it except potatos hehe, low fat sour cream as a dressing for any of the above......
I been a snacker for many years and weigh less than 100 lbs.!!
Since I am a partial vegan I didn't or wouldn't list meat as a snack.
Regards and hope this helps :-)))

Salsa is naturally fat free and very healthy. Always good with low-fat chips in moderation.
