The intellectual debates occur in the Philosophy section, however the quasi-intellectual game-saying in this section knows no bounds and has no meaning...

Will it go on forever, or are you ever going to get bored of getting angry at people of different faiths or lack thereof?

The basis of religion is faith and faith can't be argued, anymore than someone can argue my favorite color is purple. They may argue that purple is not the best color, but if it's my favorite it's my favorite, there's no argument in that. The reason people do argue over faith is because people can't distinguish between debate and personal attacks. If you disagree with my faith, that should be fine, it shouldn't mean that I'm judging you or you're judging me, it's simply a difference of opinion. As such, each opinion should be respected. We live in a world where people can't come together on the most simple of ideals, it doesn't surprise me then that they can't understand the difference between stating an opinion and stating a fact.

I try to get angry over things that actually affect me, like cleaning up other people's messes, and swerving drivers. This doesn't bother me, but I know what you mean, Ichi. Some people need to read, or maybe explore other ways of thinking, or even some could come out from under the rock...Philosophy is everyone's religion, they just don't know it.

Philosophy is an orderly, time-consuming passtime. Religion is more suited to the microwave generation -- requires no thinking, and the "debates" are fast and fun.

Amen. Philosophy of religion is interesting. But these people don't know anything about it. Or epistemology. Maybe I will spend time in your section.

why fight over religion in the first place? the real pleasure is the discussions held allowing all to contribute the wisdom and knowledge accumulated while on this plane of existence. this exchange of wisdom and knowledge will expand each persons wisdom and knowledge allowing all of us to develop further and thus help expand mankind overall.
