If watching porn is harmful, why should we tolerate its very existence?

Notice, that my question was not why we tolerate porn, but WHY SHOULD WE TOLERATE ITS VERY EXISTENCE(!), IF IT IS HARMFUL FOR US(!!!).

No, it can not. Typically, it will give you unrealistic expectations so that when you do become involved in a serious and committed relationship, you will always be disappointed if that
person doesn't 'perform' or look like the girls on those videos. Also, pornography is one of those quicksand vices, the deeper you get the stronger the pull of it and before you know it you can not even look at another human being without having sexual thoughts. I strongly recommend you find other ways of improving your mental health.

Perhaps... As long as it is an appropriate type, which is ironic because there is nothing “appropriate about pornography. However, I mean in the sense of not being child porn, or any type of illegal pornography. Otherwise, sexual interest and desire is a natural human occurrence, so if you are lacking in a partner and do not indulge in self-alleviation (or maybe you do…) then this could be another safe alternative I suppose. It can help clear your mind of sexual thoughts, because when sex takes over it - there is no getting ride of it until you do something about it. LOL...

I guess you'd need to define porn first.
Ask
is it illegal?
is it violet?
Does it potray someone getting hurt? (I know they are just movies but many movies are gross too)
If ANY of these answers is yes than PORN is wrong.
Otherwise the only problem is that you need to keep your life in check as it can lead to bigger things.
Many people lack the abiltility to do this. That's why they stay away from it in the first place.
And weakness is not a sin. Not knowing it is!

I think it can be, although I don't know for sure. You have to have something in life that you are interested in. For many people, it is watching or playing sports. Others have an interest in music. I can envision someone having an interest in porn since we all have a sex drive.

There is great disagreement amongst the psychological literature. Some suggest that it can be good for one's sexual health, but others point out that it reinforces certain negative trends and motifs, like the subjugation of women.

I doubt that it can be useful for your mental health long term, but it may be useful in the short term. It will probably not do any harm, either.

Not child porn or incest porn. That is corrupting and dangerous because it exploits and degrades children and the family unit. I think nudity does not harm by itself.
