What can you do about the fear of driving in the rain?

I have the problem out of fear that someone else will slide right into me. (those nutts that think rain and speed are not an issue)

What i do, if possible, is drive using local roads rather than the the highway. If I have to use the highway I get in the slow lane and drive at or below the speed limit and the speeders just go around me.

i have a fear of driving in the rain too. i had an accident a few weeks back so now i take it really slow when in rainy weather but people still drive crazy. anyway all you really can do is take is slow and not rush and be aware of other drivers.

I hate driving in the rain also, but I'm not gonna be late or anything just because it makes me uncomfortable. Just give yourself some extra time to get where you're going, and slow the f*** down!

Just do it. Or you can do this, just don't get in trouble with the law: Find a wet empty parking lot and play. You don't have to go too fast but learn how your car reacts on wet roads. Hit your brakes hard, let them lock, accelerate and spin the tries, hit your brakes while in a curve. Just don't hit anything. Once you learn your car a little better you will feel more confident in the wet. Practice.

Stay off the road. If you're afraid, you'll only be a danger to yourself and other road users. With all the idiots today driving while talking on their cell phones, we don't need another rolling roadblock.

The same thing I did about fear of performing (playing guitar/singing) in public at open mike...........just do it!
after a couple of times, you don't worry or care anymore
you just go with the flow.
