Hi
Kerastine (or is it Kerastase, forgot how to spell) is a salon product so it would work better than normal on the shelf kind of product. My sister used to be a Kerastase promoter so we used the product for some time. It is ok but I find the effects not very lasting.
But for that kind of price, I have a better solution tat works better and cost less ;)
I use Petalsence HairWash and it is very good.. you will find that your hair is very clean but very smooth... used togehter with a Shower filter tat filters out chlorine.. dun even need to use conditioner also smooth!
My hair last time very over dyed.. so very dry and brittle.. now my splits are all gone and I am so happy ;)
I introduced the shower filter and shampoo to my friend who always spends $30++ per bottle of shampoo.. and now she and her hubby loves it so much their whole family using it ;)
If you are interested to find out more, please email me at verityy@yahoo.com

Retaining and adding moisturize is key for dry hair, you need to use a deep conditioner at least once per week and definately a daily leave in after ur normal conditioner.overnight oiling will also be a big help for your hair.
Avoid chemical synthetics and hair proccessing as much as possible which dry out hair and damage it.Make sure your diet is balanced and contains enough essential fats in the form of omega 3 and 6.Through things like olive oil, flax and fish.

I have a completely different take. Use baby shampoo and a light leave in conditioner. Salon and store shampoos have ingredients in them to make your hair dry out so you will buy more of there products. Baby shampoo has almost no of these products, and I went from super dry hair to super soft hair in 2 weeks when I started washing my hair every other or every third day with baby shampoo.
Good Luck!

I'm not sure about kerastine, but Aussie mega shampoo and Aussie moist conditioner, for dry damaged hair is the ticket. You will be styling, with a moist look.

Definitely use a conditioner with protein and cholesterol, it makes your hair more manageable, shinier, and healthier...I suggest LeKair Cholesterol Conditioner (or any other kind). It comes in a tub, is cheap, and works great for me!!!! I don't know about kerastine, but with all the damage I've done to my hair, cholesterol definitely helps.

I know it sounds really gross, but Sally's Beauty Supply has this intense conditioner that is made of goat placenta. I know, I know. But its really good for your hair, you put it in freshly washed hair, and wrap it up in a hot towel. Then, wet it, lather it up, and rinse. It makes your hair really soft and helps split ends.

If you're looking for a natural and cheap way, just apply olive oil to your hair once a week, pretend it's a hair-mask. the results will amaze you.

Try Sunsilk the pink bottle HYDRA TLC. I noticed a big change in my hair when I started using it.
