Do not push all 3 on her at once it will confuse her. If she understands some Spanish already try a little bit of English first then when she can speak and understand some English then teach her the basics of french when she 3 or 4 years old. she will pick french up as a third language in school.

Keep up with the Spanish, and start adding English. Your child is capable of both right now. When she gets to be around 4 -6 years old you can add in the French. Learning a new language at that age actually helps them learn other things as well, it stimulates the brain and can improve math and science skills. Your child will have an advantage her whole life by knowing 3 languages, especially in the job market once she's grown. Plus if someone is trying to talk bad about her in a different language, she will know what they are saying!

Then you need to speak to her and teach her English first. If you know French that should be the secondary language along with Spanish. It is wonderful for a child to learn several languages at an early age. Good Luck!

English, I reckon. As the Spanish and French are similar in many ways, French would be an easier language to learn at an older age for a native Spanish speaker.

I think that english and spanish are the two most common languages. With english being the most widely spoken around the world. Go with english, she'll probably pick up some french along the way anyway.

If you know all 3 languages why not all 3 of them? How lucky your family is to have such good exposure to so many different languages. Besides aren't people who work for the government there supposed to be able to speak French? Why limit your kid when you live in such an area? Don't be like us Americans that can't speak anything but English and expect everyone to be able to speak English also just because we haven't learned anything else.

Spanish with French is very similar. In that aspect, it might be easier for her. However, this is the reason why she should learn english: if she learns french and spanish together, she may confuse the two, because they look alike. Plus, she will learn french easily when she's a little older. Go for english.

make sure she understands english first and foremost since it will be needed for school. then teach her the french. if spanish is the only language you speak at home, dont worry about that right now. let her concentrate on english and french. she will pick the spanish up on her own.
