Had a look at the pic (ouch!) but it will heal in time. My ex boss had this done a few years ago and i nearly collapsed when she showed me it. After she took the bandages off, she rubbed moisturiser into it (just usual hand cream stuff) to keep it soft, and within a few months it had healed. She still has a scar though, but feels a lot better and can do things now with her hand she coudn't do before.

It doesn't look very nice, did you take the bandage off or the hospital? It still looks quite swollen, if I was you If you took the bandage off, have it checked out by the surgery nurse.
I hope it gets better soon.

The redness around the incision site looks like it may possibly be infected.
Gently press on the tissue surrounding the wound. Any signs of puss or drainage, or if the skin is hot to the touch is a tell-tale sign.
Your doctor may want to re-evaluate to determine if antibiotics or another procedure may be necessary.

Erm, looks a little infected to me, though difficult to say from your photo which you have to admit is not a great advert for the macro function onyour camera.
In any case, probably best to get someone at your GP surgery to look at it.

that redness really looks like infection. And it looks a bit too swollen. See your doc buddy - it should look much better than that after 3 weeks

It looks a little infected, but if you are on an antibiotic it should be OK. If you are not on one then you should see your doctor. If the red area is not getting smaller then you MUST see the doctor.
