I AM Japanese and really don't know anyone who doesn't like me..
The culture is to achieve the best, do it right, etc.
There isn't any animosity between China and Japan.. hehe I work with a Chinese guy and we're gonna grab a burger in a few minutes..

All in all,we like to do stuff right, take real personal pride in ourselves, achievements, property, personal appearance etc..
We're cool people!
Thanks for the SNAPS, PEOPLE!
Glad to know ya!

I had a Japanese roommate in college and one thing about him was he was VERY nationalistic and HATED Chinese and Koreans (and pretty much every Asian not from JAPAN - not literally but JAPAN was Numero uno). He criticized other Japanese students for being shut ins culturally (some not bettering at English because they only hung around Japanese) and he had the work ethic of a slave on steroids.

I like the Japanese. I don't understand the culture, especially in respect to women, but they are always friendly and seemingly open to meeting people from different cultures.

I love Japanese people, I go to school with many of them, and enjoy the entertainment that comes out of their culture. I watch mostly japanese anime shows such as Ghost in the Shell and Inuyasha.

People are people. Some will stab you in the back, some will give you the shirt off of their back. Doesn't matter if you are talking about Japanese, Sudanese, American or what ever.

I have to say I like the culture though. They are polite, clean, honest and have a fascinating history. I like the food too. Also I take martial arts so I know some of the language.

I don't want to make a general statement about Japanese people, since I haven't met all of them.

Most of the Japanese people that I know are very nice.

You shouldn't phrase your question this way, speaking of them as a whole. DO YOU LIKE JAPANESE PEOPLE, IN GENERAL? WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE MAJORITY OF THEM? or similar is better. Any country has all sorts, you know. Anyways, I like most Japanese people. I think that politeness is in their DNA, but it is cold and almost insincere...just a part of their being. Of course there ARE warm folks, as can be said of any country. I especially like the people of Okinawa Prefecture (the southernmost islands in Japan). These Japanese people must be the most courteous, warm, and friendly people in the world; also hold the world's record for longevity.
By the way, Japan's entrant to this year's Miss Universe contest and 1st runner up, I believe, is from Okinawa, Miss Kurara Chibana.

Everyone's different so you can't lump all Japanese people in one generalized group. I like people based upon his/her personality.

of course i like japanese people, doesn't every one?

if their fun, crazy style and adaptation of everything everywhere isn't enough for you then check out miss japan in this year's miss universe contest, coz she's enough to convince anyone that japan is a MUST see place.

I like all people, but if you marry a Japanese woman in japan the woman is not liked in that country and her dad will disown her
The people still have to learn alot about accepting other cultures
Give it time and things will in prove.
