My problem is basically that I've wired up a powered subwoofer in my car and it is working fine except for the fact that the remote on wire that is connected to the head unit from the amp is working in the opposite way it should. When I turn the head unit on the amp powers off and when the head unit is switched off the amp powers up. I've disconnect the power cable for now so that it isn't powered but that one small problem prevents me from using it.

I've also tried wiring the amps remote on wire into the ignition feed on the head unit but that didn't help.

Anyone got any ideas?

Well, I've never heard of this, but there is a work around. Either use a SPDT relay to inverse the output or just use a switch to manually turn the amp on/off.

The relay method will required the remote from the HU to one side of the coil and ground the other side of the coil. A hot wire from the battery will connect to the COMMON of the relay and then a wire from the N/C to the remote on the amp.

Use the power antennae wire.
