You might put on more muscle by focusing more on protein, when you eat.

But when I was a teenager, I ate about 4000 calories per day & I burnt them. I was constantly hungry. When I left school at 18yo, I was 6 feet tall & had a 28-inch waist & 34 inch chest - painfully thin.

I simply played multiple sports all year & ran everywhere. I didn't start buling up my torso/uppper body, until I left school. I'm now 43yo & have a weight problem - I just can't win :-)

You have a very high metabolism. Actually you are quite lucky. However I am sympathetic to your concern, all girls your age are concerned about something about their physical appearance. They usually exaggerate any fears they may have. Don't worry, relax a little bit more.

Be careful about protein shakes, because they will dehydrate you, and may contradict your goals, under you undertake a program of weightlifting.

Increase your intake of carbohydrates and fats, but make sure they are the good fats, like fish oil and vegetable fats.

Your body will grow in time in the manner you wish for it to.

Good luck.

You are tall. You are young. You are growing. You are active.
You need a lot of food.
Be happy that you are lean.

When I was fourteen, you could just look at me and count my ribs.
I wanted to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
That was many, many years ago. Now I look better than he does.
