Could it be stress? I had the same thing happen to me a couple of years ago, and my doctor told me it was because of all the stress in my life.

Have you been through allot of stress lately or trauma? This can cause sudden loss of hair.It could also be that your hair is extremely damaged from all the chemical proccesses. To be sure you need to pinpoint the cause.Start by going for a complete physical, and blood work up at the doc's office. Then if everything is ruled out start to focus on your lifestyle.
1.) Seaweeds, help stimulate the thyroid and give minerals for the proper health of the hair

2.) Spinach is great for the hair, contains lots of minerals,as are all the green vegetables.

3.) Protein your hair is made of protein so make sure you are getting it in either animal or vegetable form such as fish,chicken,beef,legumes,nuts... and cheese.Or protein drinks.

4.) take a good b-vitamin supplement with biotin which increases hair growth.

5.)MSM contains naturally occuring sulfer and will make your hair and nails grow faster.

6.) silica

this combined with a good scalp massage with herbal hair oil will do wonders for your hair. Avoid brushing ur hair when its wet,and use a natural shampoo such as lamas chinese stimulating shampoo or Jason thin to thick.

Maybe your hair is breaking off from all the chemicals and straightening. OR maybe you're washing it too much. More than twice a week is too much! If that doesn't help, get some bloodwork done and ask your doc to check your thyroid; that will certainly make your hair fall out. You might want to get a nice short cut appropriate for curly hair and leave it alone for a while. Godloveya!

Stress could be a huge factor. another factor, when you have abused your hair so much in the past, it is vitally important that you use a good conditioner weekly and stay away from the products that damage your hair. Flat irons, perms/relaxers etc. If straighten your hair is at the top of the list of importance to you, then unfortunately, you hair is going to continue to fall out. Good luck with that. And you might want to go visit a dermatologist.

I have an eyebrow, that does that, but, I know its because I use eyebrow pencils, everyday.. I have a friend who has the same problem, as you.. She's even bald, in some places, on her head.. I dont know what they can do for such a problem... I would try stimulating your own head with your fingernails tips, over & over again, everyday, and see if that works.. We all have really thick hair, and when we were kids, our Mom used to do this to our heads, to watch us "duck & giggle!!" But, our thick hair could very well be, stemmed from Mom doing this all our childhoods.. And I just heard on the news recently that this helps people with hair troubles, to get better the studies showed.. You just take your tips of your fingernails, and poke them into your head in all the areas, where this problem, is prevelent.. And watch and see if this doesn't help, for the better!! Its also a great way , to RELAX!!! It feels great!! I do it to my kids, and they just love it !! And everyone, of my kids have really thick hair!!! Give it a try!! Good-Luck, to you!! It'll get better, you'll see!! Smile!!

It could be a thyroid condition or some other endocrine disorder. See a doctor before you spend any more money on over the counter treatments.

I would color my moms hair and I would watch blisters form on her scalp and then when it was time to rinse her hair would fall out.

Too much vitamin A will cause hair to fall out....I found that out by personal experience.
