well there's no need to get panic about it...
this is happening bcoz memory space left in your primary drive(say C: whr windows installed) has low memory space left.
every operating system use certain part of your primary drive as *virtual memory*
Virtual memory or virtual memory addressing is a memory management technique, used by multitasking computer operating systems wherein non-contiguous memory is presented to a software (aka process) as contiguous memory.
In technical terms, virtual memory allows software to run in a memory address space whose size and addressing are not necessarily tied to the computer's physical memory(RAM).
therefore its required to make early arrangments to get your primary drive (say C:) efficently organzied
you can do this in following step by step instructions given over here
1> make a diskcleanup(startmenu>program>acessories>sytemtool>diskcleanup(drive c: or whtever)
2> go to C: manualy where you have WIndows and there in it you wld find *temp* just empty it(delete everything tht is inside tht folder)
3> Yes if you have big contagious(taking big memory) software installed in your C: (primary drive) then remove it by ...controlpanel>>add/remove prog
4> Defragment your drive you can do it by
strtmenu>>prog>>acess>>systemtool>>Defragment
this wld help your primary drive to arrange those misplaced memory chunks!
5> now if you can remove few more files or programes from c: tht wld be nice....and dont worry ........you can shift them to any other drive like D:
i mean...>> uninstall tht from C: and try to reinstall them to and give it path like D:/programme file/ software name
in this way you wld have those chubby/chunky softwares in your computer and ...your C: drive wldn't be lacking required memory space
have a gr8 day! :)

Virtual Memory is an area on your hard drive that windows uses in conjunction with your computer's memory. That's why they call it virtual. Usually, if you are using a photo editor and say an mp3 player all at the same time, whatever you have been editing (as in cropping photos or putting titles on photos or videos) these 'steps' are saved on virtual memory so you can 'undo' your edits (as in returning the photo back to the way it was before you edited it), then your virtual memory gets too full. Anyway, close one or more programs and see if that helps. Also, it is a good idea to close all of your programs and reboot (re-start) your computer once in awhile. Especially if you just loaded a new program or two. Rebooting (assuming you have saved all of your work/pix, etc) will resolve this program. If it happens too often, you may want to see if you can upgrade/add memory to your computer. I hope this helps.

Clean out your computer. That I mean on every program every litte thing see if you want it or u really have to have it. You probley can go to the control panel and add/delete section and delete some stuff. Make sure your computur can run without the progam u delete b4 u delete it.
Good rule is if u dont know what it is, dont touch it.
Check on your computer space or memory space after cleaning. Check many times during that cleaning. Cleaning files too while your at it. Ione time had many pictures that my computer could not open, wasted space. I deleted them and got more space.
If just the cleaning doesn't do it then u may need to do what these othe ppl are saying by buying more space.
My husband bought me more space by buying an external hard drive. Once Iearned to keep that clean I started on the comperter itself.

Try basic stuff first, like making sure your trash is empty, or deleting files you do not need. Sometimes your email will make a copy of all attachments in a folder, which will stay there even after you delete the email. If there are programs or utilities you never use or need, delete those too. If you have a lot of files or documents, back them up on disk. This will all free up a lot of memory and should help you run smoother.

its means your RAM is low (random access memory)...that your pc access when u open a program.each program uses a certain amount of RAM and if u have to many program opened and doing to many things 2 the same time...and u don't have enough RAM.u could do this: start menu-run- than type "cmd"- than type "systeminfo"..to see how much RAM u have available...if its something 128..its quite low...286 is low to..depends on what your doing.
for the moment best thing u can do is run as less programs @ a time as u can. but int he end u need to get some RAM

Firstly, go into Tools, Internet Options, then click on Delete Cookies, Delete Files, Clear History. This will clear out quite a bit.
If you still have problems, you may need to download and use a Registry Cleaner. Here is a link to a good one:
http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/ecleane.htm
Once you have it downloaded and working, open it, go into Unnecessary and clear the files. This should give you a bit more space.

Defrag your hardrive, go to Accessories then into Systen Tools which will lead you to defrag, it sa simple procedure that few follow. This will compress and safe up space. After this be sure to go through all your files to see what you can delete. Especially photos, movie clips etc. You can easily burn these to disk or find a place online where you can store it for the meantime. Maybe a place like Rapid share. Then you can download it from another PC to burn on to a disk if you dont have a burner....Goodluck...

Well, it is probably referring to your RAM (virtual memory) This is a place where information on pages your visit is stored, and where some background tasks take place. I would suggest buying more RAM. IF you have a newer computer, it is probably DDR RAM. 256 MB of that would run you $20.00-$30.00

That is probably virtual memory and the windows will fix it automatically. If you have less than a gig of memory you should add more.
