What would you 'litterally' do, if you find that a illegal got your job?
Since its a fact, that illegals are taking our jobs...both lowend & high end. Its a known fact that illegals are actually doing jobs we would do even at their pay. Dont bother arguing its a fact and has been proven several times over.
Please, honest answers, not b.s. (pro or con).

U are inccorrect also...They are actually takeing our jobs, the very jobs we want.
In fact I worked as a pc tech in 2004 where we had a team of 35 pc techs...
I forgot to mention that 10 of them were actually illegal (discovered more than halfway thru 6 months project).
All 10 were fired on the spot.
I was the team lead, because I was the only pc tech without certifications though I had two computer science degees.
Btw, up till 2003 I was making $75000 as a programmer (PC & mainframe).
Nowadays due to location I do a little bit of everything. But legally.

Truesoul..u are full of it.
My info is based totally on fact, not on your ivory tower lies...based more political than fact.
I am the son of a immigrant and its a fact that illegals are taking jobs from citizens who would do the work for less just to survive.
My total of this is actually several hundred that I personally am aware of...and over a thousand of actual citizens taking jobs as illegals..
Just because your a bigot doesnt take away from the reality that illegals are taking away jobs & services from citizens.
Btw, on the hospital side of it, we have hospitals closing down because they cant afford to provide healthcare due to the requirement of servicing unpaid (illegals sometimes) patients.

Any illegal who says they are paying taxes are neglecting the fact that they are not paying all taxes (if any)....
Income (FED,state,local).
SS
SALES
FEES
Some of the illegals I know are only paying SS & Sales (and in some cases are not being fair in paying in).
Very few illegals are paying taxes other than sales/fees, & maybe SS.

Some illegals lie about not being citizens.
In my own area of work, excluding pc tech & CSR work, its nearly impossible to be an illegal.. Though very easy on PCtech &CSR. In fact on CSR its often overlooked on purprose if u speak spanish. (Customer service)

Btw, to the 'unwashed' comments..
Illegals (like citizens) cover the whole gamut from super-unqualified & lazy, to high performing & highly paid.
The unifying deal is the lazyness to become 'citizen'..
I resent the 'unwashed comment' because that is directed toward my parents.
Btw I am 48 years old.
Also, despite the lawyers comments which are mostly bogus, the facts are real that illegals are taking away from citizens what belongs to any legit worker..
(Greencard, or visa or citizen).

So who is giving them these jobs then? Maybe that is where the problem should be addressed from. I do not live in the US and I dont have 100% of the facts but If u r a citizens and an illegal goes for the same job. U have the same qualifications both are willing to accept the same rate of pay. How can an illegal then take ur job. Doesnt the employee ask for documentation to show that a person can legally work? If an employee knowingly hires an illegal then that is their problem and where the problem lie. If was an illegal who is trying to work hard to support my family back home and an employee is willing to hire me, i would go for it. It is just human nature and common sense. The govt of the US facilitates illegals and that is why they 'behave' the way they do. The govt has an agenda and the immigration policies are just a means to an end. Address ur government before u crimininalize people who are just taking advantage of an opportunity that was presented to them.

they are actually not purely taking jobs choosing cotton. force by making use of any shape website. shape grew to become into as quickly as a sturdy job the place a guy could make a widely used rate living, and the folk interior the enterprise have been experienced experts of their respective trades. Now, so as to make greater income off new residences and residences, agencies carry jointly up a team of mexicans without qualification different than the willingness to paintings for wages that don't furnish an American usual of living. that isn't industry opposition, that is breaking the regulation - consequently that's a black industry practice. And purely watch, you could already see the diverse extra contemporary residences & residences falling aside after 3 years by way of fact of unfavorable workmanship. the diverse different jobs they take are transitional jobs. actual, no American desires to make a profession out of washing automobiles or cooking at a eating place. yet what approximately extreme college and faculty young ones? What approximately somebody who grew to become into laid off from their job and desires to do something on an identical time as finding for yet another job of their field? isn't it extra effective to permit individuals do those jobs? look what the illegals have completed to places like la. Overcrowding, slums, dirt and gang violence interior the streets.... they do purely no longer stay the way you and that i do. The flood gates on the border did no longer open till 1965. Jobs have been crammed, ditches have been dug, automobiles have been washed, residences have been wiped sparkling, etc, formerly 1965, without the inflow of unlawful extraterrestrial beings. What you mentioned approximately offshore jobs is actual besides.

I dont know where you get your info but sweetie you are very misinformed. I worked as a lawyer in the Washington DC area for 8 yrs and many of my clients were medium and small business owners in Maryland and No.Virginia. They told me that in the industries they worked, unfortunately they were forced to employ undocumented workers because they could not find Americans to do the work. They asked me if I could help their employees become legal. Some of the employers that come to mind are: farmer owners, hotel owners, commercial cleaning companies, construction companies. I also had a lot of dialogue with hospitals that needed help bringing in doctors to work in rural areas and the inner cities as well as mental institutions (very unattractive salaries and job sites sometimes) and there is also a shortage for nurses and hospitals are glad if they can hire foreign nurses. Granted the physicians and nurses have to be legal to work here so the employers recruit from abroad. But it shows how wrong you are about "stealing jobs" because the employers themselves have told me that if they could find a qualified american to do the job (at least in that area of the country) or an american willing to be trained and stick around they would hire them in a heart beat because it is hard for them to live with the fear of being fined by USCIS and they have the language barrier too.
You need to stop watching Bill O'Reilly or whatever biased source you have been exposed to!!

the larger companies won't usually employ illegals because they know the government has their eye on them-they have to register every employee they hire for taxation and national insurance purposes-the biggest offenders are the agencies-they will hire anyone and because there are that many of them holed up in little offices down the backstreets of our cities it is hard to pin down who they employ-they pay illegals a pittance and charge the companies who hire their services the full whack-as i said in another post-if there where no illegals or asylum seekers somebody would have to do the work so the jobs would go back to brit families who would demand the full wage (or at least the minimum wage) and the agencies would have to hire them-or they wouldn't get their orders out.

No, I've never had that happen because I work hard and don't ***** about it. If that did happen to me, I'd just call INS. Problem solved.

Labor shortage could mean crisis for ag
Ali Bay
Capital Press Staff Writer
DAVIS – Growers and farm labor contractors are scrambling to find enough workers to harvest their crops this fall and some say the worker shortage is escalating to crisis proportions.
Western Growers, the agricultural trade association that represents growers, packers and shippers of fresh fruits and vegetables in California and Arizona, is asking government officials to recognize the labor crisis.
Western Growers estimates that in the Central Valley alone, there is a shortage of about 70,000 farmworkers.
“It’s quickly reaching a crisis level and it’s possibly already done so,” said Tim Chelling, a spokesman for the industry group.
Chelling said growers are likely to lack the field workers needed to harvest some of the fall and winter crops in California. If crops are left in the field, an economic crisis will likely follow, he said.
Western Growers is appealing to the Department of Homeland Security and state governments in California and Arizona to help provide a stable work force for agriculture, while still securing the nation’s borders.
“The time to act has now arrived,” said Tom Nassif, president of Western Growers. “We are not asking for action to resolve the nation’s overall immigration crisis in the next couple of weeks. We know that’s simply not possible and completely unrealistic. We are asking for officials to acknowledge this labor crisis in agriculture and provide immediate remedies so that farmers, consumers and state economies don’t suffer what amounts to completely avoidable economic damage.”
There are many reasons why California doesn’t have the number of workers it has in the past, said Luawanna Halstrom, general manager and chief operating officer of Harry Singh and Sons, a company that produces vine-ripened tomatoes near San Diego.
Tighter border control and random raids have reduced the number of workers crossing the borders. The construction business is booming in California, pulling workers away from agriculture and into higher-paying jobs. Mexican workers are also opting to work in Canada under that country’s guest worker program.
“Agriculture is crying out for a legal means to hire labor,” said Halstrom, who also serves on the labor committee for the American Farm Bureau Federation. “That’s what we need. We’ve never been in more dire straits.”
Earlier this year, federal lawmakers introduced the Agricultural Job Opportunity, Benefits, and Security Act of 2005, better known as the AgJOBS Bill, which could provide farmers a stable workforce.
While the bill is widely supported by agriculture, a similar piece of legislation failed last year due to lack of support from President George W. Bush and the Republican leadership.
The only way Halstrom says she has been able to find a consistent seasonal workforce for her business is by relying on outdated immigration policies and providing housing for employees.
“It is extremely difficult,” she said. “It has affected our ability to farm the way we normally would. It has cost us.”
Right now, the labor shortage is impacting the Central Valley’s raisin industry, where thousands of acres are waiting to be harvested.
The Nisei Farmer’s League has been trying to find labor anywhere it can to help farmers – even considering using parolees, a plan that didn’t work.
Nisei has also appealed for help from the Employment Development Department offices in the Central Valley, but so far the state agency has only been able to call up the names of several thousand unemployed workers who might be able to work in the agricultural industry.
“We just can’t get the crops harvested,” said Manuel Cunha, president of the Fresno-based group. “We’ve got to develop immigration programs that fit the industry,” he said.
Halstrom said the current labor shortage reminds her of the days following the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center.
Nearly 75 percent of her workforce didn’t pass detailed checks following the attacks. Although the company immediately looked into utilizing the existing federal guest worker program, which many say doesn’t suit agriculture’s needs, it took 45 days to get enough workers to continue harvesting their perishable commodity.
“And then when (the workers) got here, it took them two weeks just to clear out the rotten fruit,” Halstrom said. “We lost $2.5 million in a 45-day period. It was absolutely devastating.”
Halstrom hopes politicians will hear agriculture’s call for help.
“I think this country needs to understand that a critical element of its national security is to have a safe and reliable food source,” she said. “If there’s an interruption (in our food supply), the country has basically a seven-day supply of food.”
That’s reason enough not to continue sweeping the immigration problem under the carpet, she said.
