I'm a math teacher, yet I can't fathom the advanced mathematics that is used to understand the shape of the universe nor quantum mechanics. Doesn't mean there's no truth to them.

Life doesn't just happen no matter how long you wait for it. I believe in God, and He would have no reason to go through such a long, drawn out process to create life. Where are all the continually evolving species on this planet? Every creature is what it is and what it always was, no matter what half-witted scientists try to prove. And no I'm not against science or scientists. Many of them do believe in God, and found Him by trying to prove He could not exist.
If evolution is correct, why haven't celibate women eventually started becoming pregnant by themselves? One would think it would be necessary to continue the species.

Consider this: We observe that things naturally move from a state of higher entropy to lower entropy. This doesn't say that entropy can't temporarily increase, but universally speaking it is moving away from high entropy.
Next, from empirical evidence, we notice that matter and energy cannot make more matter and energy. Simply stated, the universe contains all the matter and energy it ever going to have.
If one considers the first observation, then it is reasonable to conclude that everything originated from a point of high entropy. This means it could not have always existed. If it did, then we wouldn't be here because it would have decayed into heat an eternity ago.
However, if one holds the second observation to be true, then one must conclude that the single point of high entropy didn't make itself. So one has to conclude one of two things: Something created it, or in the word of the asker, *POOF* and suddenly there was a universe appearing out of nothing.
Now, which is more logical: appearing out nothing (no causation) or something creating it (causation)?
Not all American Christians reject evolution outright. We know that speciation occurs based on empirical evidence. But creation isn't as illogical as one makes it out to be. It seems more logical than the alternative -- appearing out of nothing.

I'm an American Christian and a medical scientist. I can't fathom any way that the human body could have evolved. I "believed" in evolution because I was told that. When I learned about the immune system and the coagulation cascade, I can't fathom that evolution could ever have happened.
There is no proof, either.
I was contemplating this the other day.....
Gays believe in the "gay gene". Since gays can't naturally procreate..... do you suppose this could be sort of a "reverse evolution"?

From an American Christian point of view I'm actually considering evolution happened. It's possible which anything is right? I believe God created everything and that evolution and the Big Bang and all those things very much well could be true. For a man to build things it takes time such as a car. Little by little and the car goes from 1 piece to how many it takes to make it the model we drive.
Only God knows for sure.
Example "The world is flat". We all know it is a sphere now. Who knows how long the world will exist and Christians could accept the fact in like so many years or whatever that evolution did happen. Never know.

It's because they have organisations like 'Answers in Genesis' that spread this crap using lies and misquotations to back them up. One look at the Answers in Genesis website will show that they never cite outside sources, probably because they're afraid that the information might show that they are lieing.
The reason Christianity denies evolution is because if Adam & Eve are disproved then so is the Original Sin and THAT contradicts EVERYTHING they believe in.

Hi. Here is a very important thing to remember: not all American Christians reject evolution. Only those who self-describe as fundamentalist Christians believe in this way. Millions more are quite open to evolution and have a tolerant, loving attitude toward others.

It's because it invalidates their religion. In order for Jesus' sacrifice to be at all meaningful you must include the prerequisite of the fall of man [Adam/Eve/Noah]. Evolution runs contrary to this creation account and thus turns the book of Genesis into nothing but a myth. Without this story being truth the concept of original sin is removed and thus Jesus died for naught.
Instead of accepting reality they would much rather remain in their happy-go-lucky world of fantasy. Attacking science and rejecting reality is their way of kicking and screaming until mommy gives them a lollipop.
